Past Indefinite Tense
Definition : जब कोई कार्य ( Work ) भूतकाल ( Past) में किसी समय समाप्त हो गया हो ,तब उसे Past indefinite tense कहा जाता हैं।
जैसे ;
1. वह मेरे पास आया।
2. मैंने उसे पढाया।
3. उसने मेरी सहायता की।
4. वह दिल्ली में रहता था ।
5. वह मुझे जानती थी।
▪️Affirmative Sentences▪️
Rule 1 : Subjects कोई भी हो जैसे ( I, You, We, They, He, She, it, Singular noun हो या Plural noun ) सब के साथ Verb की 2nd Form लगाते हैं।
Examples ;
1. वह मेरे पास आया।
He came to me.
2. मैंने उसे पढाया।
I taught him.
3. उसने मेरी सहायता की।
He helped me.
4. वह दिल्ली में रहता था ।
He lived in Delhi.
5. वह मुझे जानती थी।
She knew me.
▪️Negative Sentences▪️
> सभी कर्ता (Subject) के बाद did not लगाकर Verb की 1st Form लगाते हैं ।
Examples ;
1. वह मेरे पास नहीं आया।
He did not come to me.
2. मैंने उसे नहीं पढाया।
I did not teach him.
3. उसने मेरी सहायता नहीं की।
He did not help me.
4. वह दिल्ली में नहीं रहता था ।
He did not live in Delhi.
5. वह मुझे नहीं जानती थी।
She did not know me.

Examples ;
1. क्या वह मेरे पास आया ?
Did he come to me ?
2. क्या मैंने उसे पढाया ?
Did I teach him ?
3. क्या उसने मेरी सहायता की ?
Did he help me ?
4. क्या वह दिल्ली में रहता था ?
Did he live in Delhi ?
5. क्या वह मुझे जानती थी ?
Did she know me ?
